Inlays, Onlays, and Porcelain Veneers

Veneers

Dental Veneers are a great treatment option to fix certain cavities and broken teeth, but can also be used as a cosmetic enhancement to improve the overall look of your teeth. The veneer gets applied to the entire front surface of the tooth, whereby it can drastically alter the colour, angle, spacing and shape of the tooth.

Veneers are thin shells typically made of porcelain or composite resin materials. Porcelain veneers are stronger and last longer on average than composite veneers and they do not stain or change colour.

Inlays and Onlays

Inlays and Onlays are a type of dental restoration used as an alternative to traditional dental fillings and crowns. Inlays restorations are fillings that have been applied or bonded inside the tooth's structure. Onlays are more extensive, often needed to repair one or more of the cuspid points on a tooth or could include the full biting surface of the tooth. Inlays and Onlays differ from traditional fillings in that they are manufactured out of office in a dental laboratory, prior to being bonded to the damaged tooth.
